The point Paul makes in 1 Corinthians 15:29-34 is often overshadowed by the tricky and confusing words of verse 29. This is a shame because as much fun study tricky topics, Paul’s point in these verses is one that is incredibly timely for believers today.
These verses remind us the importance of right doctrine and belief. We make a mockery of our faith when behavior contradicts what we claim to believe. Further than that, when we persist in wrong belief it inevitably leads to the very kind of wickedness we are called to avoid as Christians.
